À l’occasion de l’Outsider Art Fair New York 2026, la galerie Ritsch-Fisch réunit un ensemble d’œuvres qui interrogent la manière dont une image naît lorsqu’aucun cadre académique ne la précède. Loin de l’idée de style ou de carrière, ce sont ici des pratiques où le dessin, l’écriture, le collage ou la photographie deviennent des outils pour ordonner le chaos, habiter une voix intérieure, ou simplement tenir au monde.

Sur le stand, les visions d’Aloïse CORBAZ et de Madge GILL rejouent la figure comme scène mentale – entre opéra intime et dialogue avec l’invisible – tandis que les diagrammes de Janko DOMSIĆ, les visages saturés de Ted GORDON ou les foules de Maria Faustina STEFANINI abordent le dessin comme système: accumulation de signes, répétition, mise en grille d’obsessions qui, peu à peu, composent un langage autonome. Les paysages graphiques de Scottie WILSON et les images recousues de Michèle BURLES prolongent ce travail du motif – floraison de détails chez l’un, reprise et réparation de la surface chez l’autre – comme deux façons d’habiter la feuille.

Enfin, la galerie présente une sélection d’artistes français parmi lesquels Bruno Privat et ses photographies au sténopé, Vanessa Garner avec ses sculptures en tissu, Hervé Bohnert, Michèle Burles et Cassandre Albert.

On the occasion of Outsider Art Fair New York 2026, Galerie Ritsch-Fisch brings together a group of works that question how an image comes into being when no academic framework precedes it. Far from the idea of style or career, these practices use drawing, writing, collage or photography as tools to organise chaos, inhabit an inner voice, or simply hold on to the world.

On the booth, the visions of Aloïse CORBAZ and Madge GILL treat the figure as a mental stage – between intimate opera and dialogue with the invisible – while the diagrams of Janko DOMSIĆ, the saturated faces of Ted GORDON and the crowds of Maria Faustina STEFANINI approach drawing as a system: an accumulation of signs, repetition, the gridding of obsessions that gradually forms an autonomous language. The graphic landscapes of Scottie WILSON and the stitched images of Michèle BURLES extend this work on the motif – a proliferation of details in one case, the reworking and repair of the surface in the other – as two ways of inhabiting the page.

Finally, the gallery presents a selection of French artists, including Bruno Privat and his pinhole photographs, Vanessa Garner with her fabric sculptures, Hervé Bohnert, Michèle Burles, and Cassandre Albert.
