Qu’y a-t-il de commun entre les « boulots » du célèbre artiste français A.C.M., les dessins du non moins célèbre néerlandais Willem Van Genk ou encore, les broderies de la japonaise Norito Tanaka et les céramiques du Meister allemand Stefan Holzmuller, Henry Darger et Augustin Lesage ?
Ces artistes, dont les œuvres se trouvent dans de grands musées et dans d’importantes collections internationales, ont une même obsession ou, davantage encore, une même nécessité : reconstruire inlassablement le monde pour le rendre habitable.

Attachés aux détails et aux petits raffinements, ces artistes sont tous marqués par une poétique saisissante. l’exposition, Architecture concentre notre regard sur la beauté et l’intensité de l’association minutieuse, patiente, obsessionnelle, des matériaux, des textures et des couleurs.

What do the « jobs » of the famous French artist A.C.M. have in common with the drawings of the no less famous Dutch artist Willem Van Genk, or the embroideries of the Japanese Norito Tanaka and the ceramics of the German Meister Stefan Holzmuller, Henry Darger and Augustin Lesage?
These artists, whose works can be found in major museums and important international collections, share the same obsession or, more importantly, the same need: to tirelessly reconstruct the world in order to make it habitable.

Attached to details and small refinements, these artists are all marked by a striking poetics. The exhibition, Architecture focuses our gaze on the beauty and intensity of the meticulous, patient, obsessive association of materials, textures and colors.
